Following Nigerian’s loss to Croatia, a lot of coaches have emerged on social media. They have various opinions on how the super eagle’s squad need to line up to play Ice-land.
NFF should lock the coach in a room for 2 days & allow him watch that match alone! He should tell us why Etebo was used to shield the back four instead of supporting Ighalo upfront? Why he refused to work on the set pieces till now?
He need to answer before the next game

We took a poll of over 400 comments on social media –YouTube, Facebook & twitter (we are that jobless). As the game looms closer, we thought we should share our findings;
Most social media coaches generally agree that
- Rohr was too cautious, failed to read the eagle’s game and make the necessary changes needed after the friendlies
- Mikel obi is done as a player and should be thinking of retirement.
- Etebo is a solid footballer even though he scored an own goal
- Most players are occupying the wrong positions.
- Nigeria should play with formation 3-5.2
- The Eagles needs to stop slaying on social media and focus on the game
Social media coaches on team formations
Mikel Obi – Most agree that Mikel is not a 10 because he is too slow. The number 10 is usually the star player that resets the game due to their passing, dribbling, and ball control specialty.
So if he is not a 10, what position should he play?
Some says he should play as an 8; but most agree He needs to sit it out on 6 as defensive midfielder.
Even Mourinho had his say – Nigeria lost a great 6 to a terrible 10
Alex Iwobi; mixed filling on Iwobi, some said he was a terrible player, but most agreed he was not played in the right position. Iwobi should play number 10, behind Ighalo. Some think he should move to number 8. the few times he got into the middle in the first half, he looked to create things. Number 8 is given the license to roam, hassle opponents, make runs into the opposition box, work the ball up from defense and link up play
Iheanacho… is a better lone striker to Ighalo, he needs to start. Most people think the coach needs to use both players. Ighalo was isolated, He cut a sorry figure as he tried to chase the balls down all on his own, but he remains a good player
Victor Moses needs to stay on his feet and stop losing the ball foolishly . Etebo should retain his place, a great player.
“We won our games, all the games, since two years that I have been in Nigeria with Mikel in this offensive position. He is giving decisive passes; remember against Cameroon, we won 4-0. It was exactly the same organisation.” Nigeria Coach Rohr”- (At least he is speaking English)
As suggested by a twitter coach;
