The first family of music; their Royal Highness Jay z and Beyoncé. It would be rather an unfortunate outing for the guys seated behind them because queen B’s hat also tagged along to the Grammy.
Jay Z had 8 nominations, so they really turned up to clap for him and watch him throw some dedications their way. unfortunately, Grammy snub happened.
Dark shades at night? Only Beyoncé can get away with that. And was Blu Ivy trying to shut mom and dad down? Girl your parents are royalty. Let them talk.
Kendrick lemar owns the rap game…
For his album Damn Kendrick lemar won best rap song, best rap album, best rap collaboration and best performance. Need we say more? Oh yes there was also best video for the song humble
Cardi b and Bruno mars brought some energy to the stage “Finesse” is one of the most enjoyable songs to hit the airwaves in months, and when Bruno and Cardi took the stage together at MSG, they gave us colour, dance and crazy fun. Definitely one of the best performance of the night.
Kendrick Lamar’s performance in one word…
Lite. U2 and comedian Dave Chappelle made appearances at his performance.
The stage performance was electric with stage dancers dressed in camouflage, gun shots mimes and political statements. Watch video performance below.
Kesha and her celebrity studded band for adding some tears to the Grammies;
Kesha who was a victim gave a performance that brought everyone to tears, she was introduced by Janelle monae who quipped “we come in peace, but we mean business. and for those who would dare try to silence us, we offer two words: time’s up,” monae said.” just as we have the power to shape the culture, we also have the power to undo the culture that does not serve us well.”
She then introduced kesha who, flanked by cyndi lauper, Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels, Andra day, Bebe Rexha and the Resistance revival chorus.
They delivered a powerful and defiant version of her song “praying,” filled with unbridled emotion and nuance, which left chills running through everyone watching. that the performance culminated in a collective group hug only served to hammer home the supportive theme.

James corden tapped Grammy winners and nominees to read segments of Michael wolf’s incendiary Trump book fire and fury as an audition for the audio edition.
This was a pre-taped comedy segment that worked, because 1) cardi b stopped reading her passage to genuinely wonder aloud, “I can’t believe this. This is how he lives his life?” and 2) he scored Hillary Clinton to read the final passage.
The nation’s jaw collectively dropped, and twitter braced itself for an impending trump tweet storm.
