With android 7.1.1 App Shortcuts are back.  Android phones can now have up to five shortcuts. It’s a quick way to move from one app to the other without going through the Menu button.

The apps short cuts is available on Google Now Launcher and developer preview.

Restart setting included

In other news, a restart setting has joined Android’s power menu. Now, when you press and hold the power button on the Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P, you will have the option of power cycling the phone instead of switching it off.

So far, only Google’s flagship Pixel and Pixel XL devices, along with the Nexus 6P device, are able to get the download of  Android 7.1.1

Its been barely two month Android  Nougat 7.0 launched (see details) but they have kept rolling out the innovations hence Nougat 7.1.1.
