Today in America, The Earth, moon and sun line up just right, the moon blocks the sun’s entire surface, creating the total eclipse.

It is the first total solar eclipse visible from America’s lower 48 states in 38 years.

It is also the first of  such event since 1918 where the path of darkness traverses both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts.

And finally, it’s the first total solar eclipse to make landfall exclusively in the US since independence in 1776.

American’s came together to witness this beautiful and historic moment;

The excitement was high, tourist came from near and far to  states like Oregon, Wyoming where the total eclipse would be felt.

Different terms were coined “Eclipse- Ville”,  “path to totality”.

Tenths, beach chairs, Eclipse shades and sleeping bags littered the streets as Americans joined in to make history.

Ivanka Trump decided to piggy bank on this moment to connect with Americans, but they were having none of it.
