Former chief of Army staff Alex Badeh has been assassinated

The retired general who served under the Jonathan regime was attacked by unknown gunmen on Abuja-Keffi road on his way back from his farm last night

His death was met with various reactions- while some Nigerians have suspected foul play, especially happening right on the heels of Retd Gen Alkali’s death who was also killed in mysterious circumstances.

Some others have referred to his death as Karma because he is alleged to have looted billions meant for security and arms. Whatever he is dead, may his soul rest in peace

President Buhari presents the 2019 budget;

This is his last Budget to the 8th National Assembly, he used it as an opportunity to list out his accomplishments which was met with some cheers from APC members and boos from opposition.

“We simply prioritized the completion of ongoing projects over introduction of new ones” – He said over 100 of these projects have been completed.

His song was featured on Apple music A-list African songs. Its also recently got air play in the united States and is being played at the night clubs- that explains why its got the boost- presently has over 100 million, two hundred thousand views.

Manchester United ‘s new care taker

Former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been appointed as the club’s caretaker manager until the end of the 2018/19 season following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.

The 45-year-old Solskjaer spent 11 seasons at Old Trafford, famously scoring the winning goal in the 1999 Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

Mike Phelan, a coach at United during Alex Ferguson’s managerial reign, returns to the club as assistant manager.

United’s chief executive Ed Woodward appointed the two coaches because they were familiar with the culture of Manchester United.

Solskjaer scored 126 goals in 366 appearances for United during Ferguson’s trophy-laden years.

Fire at  Abule Egba  in Lagos

The fire started in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident which occurred at Oko Oba road, around Tipper Garage, Agege, resulted from oil spillage from a tanker.

Vandals were said to have taken over the spillage area and while bunkering activities were ongoing, the area became engulfed in flames.

Motorists have been urged to find alternative routes.
