Its people that spread the virus, the virus does not spread itself!- The more people go out , the likelihood infection spreads , increasing the surge in hospital visits and giving the doctors less time to prepare .
The hospitals have now become a battle front and like every war- there are fallen soldiers -Doctors, hospital cleaners and all related medics on the front lines also get infected and die
Italy
As at Friday 27th of march a sum total of 45 doctors who tested positive for corona virus are dead in Italy
Pakistan
A 26 year old young physician, Dr Usama Riaz became the first Pakistani doctor to die from coronavirus. He had contracted the virus while screening suspected COVID-19 patients returning to the country from overseas.
Philippines
Philippines Medical Association announced on Thursday 26th march that nine doctors have died from the Covid-19, as hospitals were overwhelmed and medics complained about a lack of protection on the front lines.
“If it were up to me, test the front-liners first and test them again after seven days. Doctors could be carriers themselves,”

France.
five doctors have been confirmed dead in France (as at 23rd March). One of them was 67 year-old Dr. Jean who came back from retirement to help his hospital. He died after 10 days without being able to say goodbye to his family
India
India has less that 1000 confirmed cases of Covid19- (at the time of writing)
There has not been reported cases of doctor’s dying, but Medical staff in the national capital New Delhi say they have been ostracized and discriminated against by their communities due to fears that they may be infected after working with coronavirus patients. Some doctors have even reportedly been evicted, or facing threats that their electricity will be cut off.
South Florida
67-year-old South Florida doctor, Dr. Alex Hsu, has died from #coronavirus, according to the Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Dr. Alex Hsu was in ICU on a ventilator, after initial symptoms of shortness of breath, nausea, diarrhea and a cough. He was a licensed doctor for 35 years
Iran is hit really bad, though the number of medics affected are unconfirmed at this point

Image above is Dr Shirin Rouhani-Rad, an Iranian medic who has died of COVID-19. Even in the last hours of her life whilst she was receiving intravenous infusion, she held her position behind her hospital desk to save other people’s lives.
Many world heroes like musical celebrities, sports men that win medals for their country and politicians that fight on the side of the people will always be remembered and celebrated.
But doctors who stake their lives at times like these will die quietly, largely unknown. Remember them if you can, and say their names- not every hero gets a world stage
