When we heard Kanye West”s “Jesus walks” 10 years ago, we thought it was just a really good rap song by Ye, we did not realize it was a calling, a special gift and that someday- that very Kanye would make Christianity and following Jesus cool for the black American culture
That song won him his first ever Grammy awards for best rap album and best rap song.
But that was many years ago- Kanye West has gone ahead to become the most controversial person in music- His opinions and ways of thinking makes him a very complicated person for many Americans to understand- Slavery is a choice comments, supporting Trump, the Taylor swift episode, occasionally becoming unhinged and almost arrogant during his interviews
He believes that black people are enslaved and always try to conform to what is acceptable for the “culture”- He claims black Americans are manipulated and enslaved through institutions – example vote democrats because you are black.
His radical thinking has had him “cancelled” many times, Many has attributed his radical opinions to his mental health issues- he has been diagnosed with “Biopolar Disorder”.
Kanye has had his fair share of hardship- in 2016, he was hospitalized after he broke down during a manic episode of Bipolar disorder- he cancelled an ongoing tour, He was also 53 million in debt at the same year.
At the end of the day, I let go and let God. There was a time I was letting you know about what Hennessy has done for me , there was a time I was letting you know what fashion had done for me.
Now am letting you know what Jesus has done for me, its my Job to spread the Gospel. I am no longer a slave, am a son- am free through Jesus Christ.
