Sonya Curry is a former volleyball player and a school administrator- She owns a Montessori school in North Carolina. She was also a basketball player and has won a couple of championships, playing for her school team.

She is a devout Christian- bringing up her kids she emphasized God first, Family second, then work or study.

Sonya and her husband Dell have been together for 30 years now, but their relationship has not diminished even after these long years. Also, with such a lovely family that includes a pair of grandchildren, the Curries can be considered one of the ideal families in the US.
