A tale of two club coaches- Real Madrid’s Santiago Solarin and Monaco’s Thierry Henry

In October two power football clubs recruited new Managers for the same reasons-  their predecessors had failed:

Real Madrid appointed Santiago Solari as their caretaker manager on a two week trial period . The Former Madrid Manager ( Julen) was relieved of his duties after suffering a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Barcelona at the Nou Camp. The game received unprecedented media hype because Barcelona played without Messi and Real Madrid without Ronaldo.  Madrid’s loss capped off a run of five consecutive league games without a win

Monaco recruited  41-year-old Thierry Henry on the 13th of October to rescue a club in crisis. Monaco was at the 18th place in Ligue 1 after just one win from their opening nine matches under the supervision of former Manager  Leonado Jardim

Monaco announced his return on social media by posting an archive picture of their former teenage striker, he was recruited on a three year -contract that’s supposed to run till 2021

Two Clubs, Two new Managers . very opposite results;

It looked like a fairy-tale when Thierry Henry returned to his former club Monaco,  but it’s turning in to an absolute nightmare.”

Under Henry,  Monaco have gone 6 games without a win. Lost three and drawn three in all competitions. They are second bottom in Ligue 1 and have crashed out of Champions league following an embarrassing 4-0 home defeat to Club Brugge

On the Opposite end under Real Madrid’s new coach Santiago Solarin, The club has recorded amazing results – In 4 Games , they have had 4 Wins 0 Draws 0 Losses 15 Goals Scored and just two  2 Goals Allowed.

The biggest Irony of it all is that Santiago Solarin was employed with a two week temporal position, but Thierry Henry signed a full three year deal.
