Two days ago, Millionaire tech guru Alexis Ohanian looked into Serena Williams eyes and concluded his wedding vows.“You are the greatest of all times, not just in sport, I’m talking about as a mother and as a wife. I am so excited to write so many more chapters of our fairy tale together”
At point in Serena’s Williams life, it’s safe to say she has it all. She is really living a princess dream. But not without some sweat, and sacrifices
An exceptional Career athletes can only dream of.
At 30+ females are wrapping up their tennis careers but Serena is only just getting started. She has been dubbed the greatest athlete of all times.
With 23 grand slams under her belt she has the highest record ever in tennis history.
She has received over 80 million in prize money and loads of endorsement deals: Audemars piquet, Nike, beats by Dre, JP Morgan, Chase, Gatorade, etc.
Her titles and wins come at a cost. She hates to lose so much. Maria Sharapova another tennis champion beat Serena at Wimbledon in 2004. She heard Serena cry her heart out at the locker room. From then it was game on. Serena beat her 17: 1 in subsequent meetings.
She said in a Nike ad, there are days when I don’t feel like training, but someone has a poster of me on their wall. And they are working very hard to beat me.
So she trains hard and practice even harder.
According to an article by Vanity Fair, after missing too many backhands at Melbourne 2017, she went to the practice court and for three hours she hit 2,500 of them, by her estimation. If she missed one, she started over. She did roughly the same the next practice day
She can also be quite a sore loser sometimes, with the racket smashes and loud shouts she constantly plays like a struggling champion. Her achievement as an athlete is no fairy tale, but sheer hard work and determination.
Successful career+ Rich husband … Now that’s a double check.
This is no Boy toy, Alex Ohanian is the millionaire co- founder of Reddit a tech company.
Famously referred to as the “mayor of the Internet.” When they met, she’d never heard of Reddit, and he had never watched a single one of her matches according to Vanity Fair.
They met at Cavalieri hotel in Rome on May 12, 2015. That night Serena was about to play her first match in the Italian Open. She was hanging out with her team in the pool area when he came out and sat on a chair too close to them.
His only interest was to get coffee and food, put on his headphones and work on his laptop. He was in Rome for a tech conference. Her team tried to move him into another table by telling him there was a rat under his chair.
He replied “I’m from Brooklyn. I see rats all the time.”
“Oh, you’re not afraid of rats?”“No.” Which is when Serena suggested a compromise and invited Alexis to join them, That was the beginning of the rest of their lives.
Meet Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. was born in early September 2017.
In her fairy tale world, her daughter would be the beautiful icing on her cake.
Her baby Olympia is already an Instagram star with 115000 followers
She is the first fetus to win the Australian Open “technically”
Serena was about 8 weeks pregnant during the Australian Open 2017. Her coach or match officials were unaware.
She dealt with a challenge she had never faced in her career, because of the pregnancy she did not have the same endurance. She could uncharacteristically feel herself getting tired between points, particularly long ones.
She was determined to make every match two sets or else she would lose. She had to win seven matches to earn the title, Serena won them all in straight sets.
But this bundle of joy came with a few sacrifices, she has not played for the rest of 2017 and dropped from world’s number 1 to world’s number 22 in the rankings.
Let’s cap it all with a fairy tale wedding
Nov 16 was chosen in memory of Alexi’s mother.

Her sparkling jewelry by XIV Karats, is worth $3.5 million in total.
Alexis, in an Armani suit, was smiling from ear to ear as Serena slowly walked up the aisle to join him
Her second dress of the evening, a dramatic beaded, feathered Versace moment that made her look like a fashion-forward superwoman. It took a team of five embroiderers to create the dress, Donatella Versace told Vogue. They “worked nonstop to make sure the tiniest details were perfectly taken care of, for a total of 1,500 hours.”
Beneath the fairy tale life of Serena Williams … is a crazy work ethic, sheer determination and scarifice.
